FAQ

The questions that actually come up.

What firms ask on the first call: money, lock-in, what we won’t do, and the agency that let them down last time. Answered straight, including where the answer is no.

Working together

No. Month to month, with thirty days’ notice. We’ll tell you the work compounds and that one issue isn’t a fair test — but that’s a recommendation, not a clause.

Brandon. The person who writes the plan answers the phone and fixes what’s wrong. No account-manager layer — the main reason firms leave bigger agencies for us.

About twenty minutes. A short call or a few voice notes, plus approval on the plan and the proof. One photo and a sentence still gets you a column that sounds like you.

Intake and follow-up fixes show in weeks — they recover work you’re already losing. Newsletters run on a longer clock; referral conversations shift around month four to six. Anyone promising faster is guessing.

We rewrite it. Nothing prints or sends until you’ve approved it, so “I don’t like it” is a revision, not a disaster.

Money

It depends on list size, how much we write from scratch, and how many channels you take. You’ll get the whole number on the first call. Print and postage run 60–70 cents a copy, billed at cost.

Then take something out rather than water everything down. Every service is priced to stand alone. We won’t quote a number too low to do the work — that wastes more of your money than not starting.

No — a flat management fee. A percentage gives an agency a reason to talk you into a bigger budget than the account can usefully spend.

Sometimes — for real setup work like a website build, a CRM configuration or an automation project. Quoted once and separately, never buried in the monthly fee.

What we do and don’t do

No — we stopped. Doing it right is a full-time job, and we’d rather be excellent at six things than mediocre at ten. We’ll still turn your newsletter into a month of posts for whoever runs your accounts.

The foundations, yes — fast site, clean structure, a complete Google Business Profile, real reviews, a monthly article worth reading. For a local firm that beats most of what gets sold as SEO. We don’t run enterprise link-building; that needs a specialist.

Yes. Websites, automations and strategy sessions are all available as one-off projects, no retainer.

Yes. Most of the book is local. But the mail goes out to clients in fifteen states and the District of Columbia.

No. Real estate, retail, beauty, home services and franchises are all in the library. Law firms are the majority because that’s where we started, not the limit of the work.

Proof and privacy

Yes. Published issues for thirteen businesses are on this site, and you can read every page. That’s more than most agencies show you.

No. We won’t hand out a client’s details or say what they pay — you’d want the same discretion, and it’s in our agreements. We’ll show you the work instead.

Almost everyone we speak to has. Usually it stopped after three months, nobody could say what ran, or it chased strangers while your own list sat there. Tell us which, and we’ll say whether we’d do it differently.

You do. Domain, hosting, ad accounts, CRM, email platform — in your name, on your card, at cost. If we stop working together you keep all of it, and everything we built inside.

We use it like a paralegal — to research and to take the blank page away. A person edits every word before you see it, and you approve it before anyone else does. We won’t send your clients something nobody read.

If yours isn’t here, ask it.

Every question on this page got added because somebody asked it first. Write yours down plainly and send it over — Brandon reads these himself. If we’re not the right people for it, that’s what you’ll get back.

No pitch deck, no discovery-call gauntlet. One conversation, one straight answer.
